Previously, Apple had updated the battery life of the iPhone 15. However, not by providing a new battery or through software updatesbut instead updates the page battery and performance support.

Apple said that although the iPhone 14 and older models are designed to maintain 80 percent of their original capacity at 500 full charge cycles under ideal conditions, the conditions are different for the iPhone 15.

According to Apple, the iPhone 15 is designed to retain 80 percent of its original capacity at 1,000 full charge cycles under ideal conditions, as quoted from ZDNETSaturday, (24/2/2024).

The update regarding the lifespan of iPhone batteries was released at the same time as European Union regulations which will determine the energy level of cellphone batteries.
