Jokowi is optimistic that Indonesia will defeat Guinea

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is optimistic that the U-23 Indonesian National Team will beat Guinea in the playoff match on May 9 in France

“Basically, if you ask me what my hopes are, I will definitely win. “We must be optimistic about winning,” said Jokowi on the sidelines of reviewing the electric vehicle exhibition at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Friday (3/5/2024).

Jokowi did not have a special message for the Indonesian national team players, who he said had performed very well, despite losing the match against Iraq for third place in the U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar.

“Wow, very good. “Enthusiasm, very good,” said Jokowi when asked to comment on the Garuda Muda game.

Indonesia postponed winning tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics after being defeated by Iraq 1-2 in the match for third place in the U-23 Asian Cup at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Thursday (2/5/2024).

This defeat meant that Garuda Muda had to undergo a playoff match against fourth place in the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, Guinea, on May 9 2024 in Paris.

Iraq, ranked third in the U-23 Asian Cup, followed Japan and Uzbekistan to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
