Jordi Amat, Elkan Baggott and Yance Sayuri dropped from the Indonesian national team
Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Jordi Amat, Elkan Baggot and Yance Sayuri were removed from the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) player list ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Vietnam due to injury.
Quoted from PSSI's official statement, Monday (18/3/2024), the three players are confirmed to be absent from strengthening the Indonesian national team against Vietnam in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Next, as a substitute, Indonesian National Team coach Shin Tae-yong called up Arema FC defender, Arkhan Fikri.
With the joining of Arkhan Fikri, a total of 26 names of Garuda squad players have been fulfilled, which previously numbered 28 players.
The Garuda squad has been in Jakarta since Sunday (17/3/2024) to make preparations and has started undergoing light training.
Asnawi Mangkualam and his colleagues are scheduled to undergo their first training at the Madya Stadium, Jakarta, Monday evening.
On this occasion, Muhammad Adisatryo (PSIS Semarang) received another call. Apart from that, there are names such as Witan Sulaeman (Bhayangkara FC), Rizky Ridho (Persija), Egy Maulana (Dewa United), and Yakob Sayuri (PSM).
Four other names, Jay Idzes (Venezia), Thom Haye (Heerenveen), Ragnar Oratmangoen (Fortuna Sittard), and Nathan Tjoe Aon (Swansea City), also received their first call-up to the Garuda squad.
