Juventus Plan to Hijack Romelu Lukaku

– Juventus have reportedly made contact with Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku who is expected to return to Inter Milan. According to Sky SportsJuventus have opened talks with The Blues hit the 30-year-old striker in the middle of an attempt Nerazzurri to take him back to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter after having had a poor season at Stamford Bridge in 2021/22. However, a lack of funds has forced Inter to give up a permanent deal.

They hope to bring the Belgium international back on a temporary deal.

Chelsea however will not allow another loan as they want to recoup some of the £97.5m they spent to sign Lukaku from Inter in 2021. Meanwhile Nerazzurri trying to raise funds from player sales, Juventus could take the opportunity to steal the former Manchester United player.

To be able to bring in Lukaku, Juventus need funds. One solution is to let go of Dusan Vlahovic if a satisfactory offer is made. But so far no offers have come in for the player from Serbia.

Meanwhile, Chelsea consider Inter’s opening bid of around €30 million insufficient. They cannot drastically increase the offer unless they agree to a move for Andre Onana to Man Utd in the near future.

This means Juventus can be Lukaku’s next destination. Lukaku had previously turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia because he wanted to stay in Europe.
