Lionel Messi Shorts Stolen After Debut with Inter Miami

Lionel Messi had a sweet debut with Inter Miami. The Argentine superstar scored the winning goal against Cruz Zul in the 2023 Leagues Cup match at DVR PNK Stadium, Miami, Saturday (22/7).

Messi played as a substitute. He was just played by Inter Miami coach Tata Martino in the 54th minute to replace Benjamin Cremaschi. At that time, Inter Miami had won 1-0 through Robert Taylor’s goal in the 44th minute.

Just nine minutes on the pitch, Inter Miami’s goal conceded. Cruz Azul equalized the score through Uriel Antuna’s hard kick. Score draw 1-1.

Messi then threatened the Cruz Azul defense several times. However, they have not been able to produce a goal due to the tight defense of the Mexican club.

When the match was about to end in a draw, Inter Miami got a free kick outside the penalty box after Messi was fouled by Kevin Castano and Carlos Salcedo. La Pulga, who executed the free kick, scored a goal in the 90 + 4th minute.
