Netizens are confused, Anthony Ginting has been appointed as a civil servant twice

– Indonesian men’s singles badminton player, Anthony Ginting and a number of outstanding athletes were officially appointed as civil servants, aka civil servants, Wednesday (5/7/2023) evening.

The taking of oaths and promises as well as the handing over of the SK took place at the Wisma Auditorium of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Senayan, Central Jakarta, as uploaded in the Kemenpora press release.

The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, handed over the appointment decree directly to the athletes.

These athletes officially became civil servants from the Athletes with Achievement formation and will later become civil servants within the Kemenpora. Like civil servants, they will get a salary according to their class and retire according to the applicable regulations.

The inauguration was uploaded on the official account of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI). One netizen critically questioned the inauguration of Ginting Cs because in 2022 there was news that said that Ginting and a number of athletes were also appointed as civil servants.

Not only tweeting, the account @inisiafi also included a screenshot of the news from the Kemenpora website with the date line Thursday, November 10, 2022.

“How confused. In the past, wasn’t it officially a civil servant? How come it’s called a civil servant candidate again?” so tweeted @inisiafi.

The news uploaded to the Kemenpora website stated that a number of badminton athletes such as Anthony Ginting, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Hafiz Faizal, Mohammad Ahsan, Hendra Setiawan, Tantowi Ahmad, and Greysia Polii, and Liliyana Natsir were officially appointed as civil servants within the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

The news cites the Instagram accounts of the athletes. Fajar Alfian through the account @fajaralfian95 expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Kemenpora.

The athletes wore white uniforms complete with black tie and black pants after going through education at the Defense Functional Technical Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat Tekfunghan).

“Thank you very much to the government @kemenpora for the appreciation, from CPNS 2018 and now he has officially become a civil servant in 2022 through training education at @pusdiklat_tekfunghan,” wrote Fajar as quoted from his Instagram.
