New Way to Send WhatsApp Messages to Unsaved Numbers, Now Easier!
WhatsApp enables its billions of users to send messages, make voice and video calls, and share media files with friends and family.
However, one of the limitations of WhatsApp is that the quality of videos that can be shared is still low in maximum resolution (640 x 640 pixels).
To enable users to send high-resolution videos, WhatsApp is rumored to be releasing a 1080p HD quality video sharing feature soon.
According to WABetaInfo, as quoted from GizchinaThursday (13/7/2023), some testers on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.23.14.10 get an HD button when sharing videos.
When users tap on this option, they can choose the quality of the video: standard or HD. Beta testers confirmed that the HD option takes longer to send videos.
However, the video quality is much better than the standard 640 x 640 pixel version. The report reveals that the default option is the default option and users will have to select the HD option manually if they need it.
WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp also flags HD videos so that users can see the quality of the video they are sending.
According to AndroidPolice, this HD video option could be rolled out to more beta testers in the coming weeks. The report also claims that a stable version could arrive in the next few weeks time.
