Nike Will Launch Air Force 1 Themed Sneaker NFT Collection
Canon USA, the American division of the camera giant, announced it will launch an Ethereum NFT marketplace named Cadabra. This project is dedicated to the photography industry.
Cadabra is described as a curated marketplace for tokenized photos, set to launch in 2023 after an initial preview at this week’s NFT NYC conference.
According to a press release, the marketplace will offer photos in various categories, including wildlife, sports, lifestyle and landscapes.
Canon hasn’t disclosed which photographers will be participating in the platform, but Cadabra will be showcasing an initial photo collection as well as a secondary market for reselling NFTs.
In addition to digital images, Cadabra will also allow participating artists to offer physical prints of the images to be fulfilled by Canon. Cadabra will initially only launch in the United States, and will support credit, debit and cryptocurrency card payments.
Canon previously launched a series of photo NFTs at Solana in July 2022, in partnership with Immutable Image. The Solana-based collection includes tokenized photos from photographers such as Sam Abell, Barbara Bordnick, Melvin Sokolsky, and Joyce Tenneson.
The Tokyo-based company makes a variety of consumer and professional-grade products, including cameras and camcorders, printers, scanners, copiers and medical equipment.
