“One moment I would hit, the next he would get hit”, says Popó about Bambam – Cidades na Net

Acelino Popó Freitas continues to reap the rewards of his victory in the ring against Kleber Bambam. Participating in the Mega Senha Power program, on RedeTV!, which airs this Saturday (09/03), the Bahian once again mocked his opponent. “One moment I would hit and the next he would get hit”, the ex-boxer joked, laughing.

Instigated by presenter Marcelo de Carvalho, Popó commented on the fight in which he knocked out the ex-BBB in just 36 seconds.

“In fact, Bambam asked to be beaten many months ago, when he started promoting the fight and promoting himself in a very aggressive, disrespectful way. And then he started freaking me out, he was the only fighter in 33 years who managed to keep me awake, because I thought about beating him, I dreamed about it. I had 46 professional boxing fights and this fight was something really special, it affected my psychology, it was good because I fought with anger”, he stated.

The fight between Kleber BamBam and Acelino “Popó' Freitas, which took place in the early hours of February 25th, got people talking and even became music. After the fighter's victory, by knockout, in just 36 seconds, the Bahian band La Fúria made a song about the dispute.

Bruno Magnata, the group's lead singer, shared the video of him singing La Fúria's new lyrics and amused his followers. “Popó caught Bambam, Popó caught Bambam… Pau, pau, pau, pau, pau, pau in Bambam”, says the song’s chorus.

In the comments, Popó showed that he liked the news. “Pau!!”, commented the boxer, accompanied by red hearts. Comedian Leozito Rocha also spoke about the composition and mocked: “The music took longer than the fight”.

Chef Lili Almeida followed the same line and laughed at the situation. “Boy… LaFuria this time was faster than Popó taking down BamBam. You guys are impossible,” she wrote.
