Penalized by PSSI, Persik Finds Aremania Mob Supporters

Kediri, Beritasatu.com – The Persik Kediri Organizing Committee (Panpel) received a number of sanctions due to the rioting of fans when they hosted Arema FC at Brawijaya Stadium on July 15. The commotion was triggered by the presence of unscrupulous Arema fans who should have been prohibited from watching the match at the opponent’s cage.

The presence of the Aremania unscrupulous sparked the anger of the Persik fans who then started beatings.

As a result of the commotion, Persik received a sanction from the PSSI Disciplinary Commission in the form of closing part of the stadium (East stand where the persecution and or fighting occurred) for 1 match when it was hosting. In addition, a fine of IDR 25,000,000 was also imposed.

Chairman of the Persik Kediri Organizing Committee (Panpel) Tri Widodo said he deeply regretted the fall of the sanction. He promised to find the perpetrators of the beating soon.

“So it is our obligation to find and identify the perpetrators of the beating,” said Widodo, Saturday (22/7/2023).

Widodo revealed that his party was given a two-week deadline to search for the perpetrators of the beating. Otherwise, additional sanctions will be given.

“Not yet determined what kind of punishment. Our job now is to find, identify Persik supporters who ganged up on the Aremania rogue,” he explained.

Widodo admitted that he already had steps to find the perpetrators of the beating. “We have our own way. We will continue to work to find or identify the perpetrators of this beating, and that must be found,” he explained.
