Red Sparks Overthrows Leader of Hillstate Korean Volleyball League Standings

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Daejeong Jung Kwan Jang Red Sparks overthrew the leader of the Korean Volleyball League standings Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate, Saturday (2/3/2024). Playing at the opponent's home ground, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi and friends won in a tight battle.

Red Sparks won 3-2 (23-25, 25-15, 16-25, 25-19, 15-10) in the third match of the sixth round of the 2023-2024 Korean Volleyball League.

With this victory, the Red Sparks' ticket to the play-off round is closer to being held. Currently, the team made by Ko Hee-jin is in third place in the Korean Volleyball League standings with a score of 58 points.

Red Sparks is up to 11 points ahead of closest rival GS Caltex Seoul KIXX who is in fourth place. The Red Sparks need to maintain a distance of more than 3 points from the fourth-placed team in the Korean Volleyball League, in order to avoid the semi-playoff match towards the grand final round of the Korean Volleyball League.

Despite losing, E&C Hillstate is still firmly at the top of the Korean Volleyball League standings with 73 points. However, their position is threatened by second place Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders who have gained 70 points.

The top of the standings will automatically qualify for the grand final round of the Korean Volleyball League.
