Result of Persik Kediri vs Rans Nusantara 4-3, Tiger Putih keeps hope of getting into the Championship Series zone

Kediri, Todaysgist.com – Persik Kediri achieved a dramatic victory by beating Rans Nusantara 4-3 at the Brawijaya Stadium on Friday (8/3/2024). The White Tigers successfully increased their points tally in this passionate home match.

Goals from hosts Persik Kediri were scored by Flavio Silva in the 29th and 71st minutes, Ze Valente in the 58th minute, and Anderson in the 58th minute. Meanwhile, Rans Nusantara scored goals from Maruoka in the 2nd and 96th minutes, and Daniels in the 55th minute.

Persik Kediri coach, Marcelo Rospide, expressed his satisfaction with the victory achieved by the White Tiger squad. He said his team was maintaining its chances of getting into the top four or the 2023/2024 Liga 1 Championship Series.

“Thanks to the players who showed extraordinary passion and dedication, so that we could achieve victory in this match and maintain our chances of reaching the championship,” said Marcelo Rospide in a press conference after the match.

Marcelo admitted that this victory was not achieved easily, especially considering the condition of the field which was flooded due to heavy rain. Even though Persik managed to win, he revealed that his team's defense looked fragile in the first half, which led to a goal conceded in the early minutes.

In the second half, Marcelo admitted that he had changed his game strategy by using a bounce ball pass pattern to overcome the puddles of water on the field.

“This has been thought about beforehand, considering the rainy weather, we have to play with high ball passes,” he added.

With this victory, Persik Kediri collected 43 points and is ranked sixth in the 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 standings. On the other hand, the visiting team Rans Nusantara still remains in 13th position with 33 points.
