Rumors Interested in Barcelona, ​​Laporte Affirms Loyalty with Man City

– Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte has stated he has absolutely no thoughts of leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer. This was conveyed by Laporte in response to speculation linking him with his move to Barcelona.

The 28-year-old has only made 19 appearances for The Citizens during the 2022–23 season. He missed the start of the season through injury and has struggled to get regular opportunities since.

Laporte has only started seven Premier League matches this season, unable to compete with John Stones, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake.

Barcelona are believed to be closely monitoring the situation, with the Catalan team expected to try to secure his signature in the summer window. However, Laporte has said that he wants to make history with Man City for as long as possible.

“City for me is everything. I’ve only played for two clubs in my career. Athletic Bilbao, the team before City, I love this team too,” he said.

Man City is considered by Laporte to be a winning team and have the mentality to win every game. One thing that has changed from previous years at Man City is the presence of a machine up front, namely Erling Braut Haaland, who always scores goals in every game.

“I think maybe this is the difference. We are trying to have a good win to try to win all these titles.

Laporte moved to Man City from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018. He has represented the Citizens in 174 matches, scored 12 goals and provided four assists.
