This satellite is a commitment from BUMN through PT Telkom Indonesia to ensure equal connectivity throughout Indonesia. This equality is expected to accelerate digitalization.

The Merah Putih 2 satellite is planned to be launched on Wednesday 20 February Florida time or Thursday 21 February Indonesian time. The construction of this satellite involves Thales Alenia Space and Elon Musk's SpaceX to take care of the satellite launch.

Reporting from the Tekno Liputan6.com channel, this satellite is ready to be launched and will orbit in slot 113 East Longitude after taking off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, along with SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.

President Director of Telkom Indonesia, Ririek Adriansyah, said that the Merah Putih 2 satellite will be a benchmark for Indonesia's digitalization development and strengthen connectivity for the entire archipelago.
