Surprisingly, Luis Milla Retreats as Persib Coach

– Coach Luis Milla surprisingly resigned as Persib coach. This decision was made by the Spanish coach after Persib had yet to win in the opening three matches of the 2023/2024 League 1 season.

In the first game Persib drew 1-1 with Madura United. Then the score was 3-3 again won by Persib when they visited Arema FC headquarters. Most recently, Persib was held to a draw by their guest, Dewa United 2-2, Friday (14/7/2023).

“It is with a heavy heart that Persib has to convey that the game against Dewa United last night was the last moment together with Luis Milla Aspas as skipper. Along with Milla’s decision, Manuel Perez-Cascallana and Carlos Grande Rodriguez also resigned from the coaching staff. It is a common thing to happen in When the coach leaves the world of football, his assistants also follow him,” said Persib in his official statement, Saturday (15/7/2023).

On this occasion Persib expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the support of Bobotoh who always supports the team in all situations, including when hosting Dewa United at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City.

However, Persib really respects the decisions that have been made by Milla, Carlos and Manuel Cascallana.

“Persib would like to thank them for the dedication that the three have given so far. Under Milla’s tutelage, Persib is in third place in the 2022/2023 League 1 competition, after limping at the start of the season,” added Persib.
