The Reds Advance to the Quarter Finals

Liverpool, Beritasatu.com – English club Liverpool beat guests Sparta Prague 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, in the match at Anfied, Friday (15/3/2024) early morning WIB. This result makes The Reds irresistible heading into the big round with an aggregate of 11-2.

Juergen Klopp's troops were 4-0 up within 14 minutes thanks to goals from Darwin Nunez, Bobby Clark, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo.

Serbian striker Veljko Birmancevic pulled a goal back for the visitors before halftime. But Liverpool continued to dominate.

Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai scored the hosts' fifth goal in the 48th minute, and Gakpo scored his second of the night to complete Liverpool's victory.

Mohamed Salah is now the first player in Liverpool history to score more than 20 goals in seven consecutive seasons. The Merseyside club fielded a relatively strong starting XI despite winning 5-1 from the first leg.

Liverpool can now look forward to the quarter-final draw for the Europa League competition on Friday evening
