The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 folding smartphone will launch in August 2023, equipped with a Leica camera

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – President of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, claims that Xiaomi’s new factory has undergone significant improvements in terms of the manufacturing system.

All upgrades this technology ensures that smartphones the Mix Fold 3 is stronger and more durable than the Mix Fold 2. That’s as quoted from GizchinaWednesday (5/7/2023).

Additionally, factory upgrades aim to make future devices thinner than their predecessors. Mix Fold 3 is also confirmed to have a camera labeled Leica.

To note, Xiaomi has been working closely with Leica for the last few years. One of the newest products from this collaboration is the Xiaomi 13 Ultra which offers amazing camera performance.

That said, the Mix Fold 3 will be thinner than the Mix Fold 2 which is 11.3mm thick when folded. This size is quite extraordinary, especially if you compare it to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.

Not much is known about the specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. However, the device is expected to come with an under-display camera. The external appearance of the device will likely have the same design and settings as the Mix Fold 2.

In terms of cameras, it is said that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will come with a periscope zoom lens, which will allow users to do 5x optical zoom and capture shots close-ups the details.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is also predicted to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This chipset is the current flagship Android SoC from Qualcomm. In terms of charging, there will be 50W wireless fast charging support.

Regarding availability, previously Xiaomi launched Mix Fold 1 and Fold 2 exclusively in China. There is a possibility, foldable flagship smartphone from Xiaomi, which will launch in August 2023, will also not be released globally.
