On one hand where some people are opposing this film, on the other hand this film is also getting good response. Despite not having a single star, this film has earned 150 crores. The figure of 32,000 girls created a huge stir at the time of the film’s release. The teaser and trailer of the film claim that 32,000 Hindu women from Kerala were forcibly recruited into ISIS. This caused a lot of controversy and later it was changed to the story of three girls instead of 32 thousand.
This change was made everywhere on social media. Recently producer Vipul Amritlal Shah has commented on this in a press conference. To this he said, “We have met and interacted with a lot of girls so 32k vs 3 is not an issue for us. The story of our film is based on the lives of these 3 girls. What is happening in Kerala has nothing to do with this figure. Through these three girls, we have brought you the painful story of thousands of girls. I am sorry that when an attempt was made to demolish our film, some people in the media also supported it.
Vipul Shah further added, “The lives of many girls have been ruined, instead of supporting them some people were trying to defame the film, trying to make it false. Soon we will collect information in this regard and expose them with evidence. My only request is to help these girls get justice.” “The Kerala Story” has created history at the box office, the film will soon cross the Rs 200 crore mark.
