Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Indonesian national team achieved a historic victory after beating Australia 1-0 in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Group A match at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Thursday (18/4/2024) evening WIB.

This result opens up the opportunity for the U-23 national team to qualify for the knockout rounds. Indonesia now has three points, the same as hosts Qatar. Meanwhile Australia and Jordan only have one point.

Indonesian U-23 national team coach Shin Tae-yong was unable to field Ivar Jenner and Ramadhan Sananta who received red cards in the opening match against Qatar. As a replacement for Ivar in the starting line-up, Shin included Nathan Tjoe-A-On.
