279 Badminton Players Ready to Compete in Superliga Junior 2023
– As many as 279 badminton athletes are ready to fight to show their best potential at the Djarum Magelang Sports Hall, Central Java on 8-14 May 2023 in a prestigious championship titled Polytron Superliga Junior 2023. Not only athletes from Indonesia, these junior athletes also come from several countries with traditions strong badminton in the Asian region such as Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Four prestigious trophies were up for grabs, namely the Liem Swie King Cup (U-19 Men), Susy Susanty Cup (U-19 Women), Hariyanto Arbi Cup (U-17 Men), Yuni Kartika Cup (U-17 Women). In addition, hundreds of these junior athletes will also compete to bring home a total prize pool of more than IDR 1 billion.
Polytron Superliga Junior 2023 is attended by 13 national and international clubs. In the U-19 category, the clubs that will field their best athletes include PB Djarum Kudus, PB Jaya Raya, Vietnam Team, PB Mutiara Cardinal Bandung, Tjakrindo Masters Sony Dwi Kuncoro Badminton Training, PB Power Rajawali, Daihatsu Yonex Sunrise Candra Wijaya Club, Chinese Taipei U-19, and Singapore Badminton Association.
While in the U-17 category, there are seven clubs that will compete for their best, namely PB Djarum Kudus, PB Jaya Raya, PB Mutiara Cardinal Bandung, Indihome Gideon Badminton Academy, Badminton Association of Malaysia, Banthongyord Badminton School Thailand, Hong Kong China Team, and Singapore Badminton Association.
