29th edition of Floriano's 'Passion of the Christ' brings together celebrities in the cast – Cidades na Net

The show `Passion of Christ´, a tradition for 29 years, during the Week
Santa, in the city of Floriano, in the interior of the state of Piauí, will take place in
March 29th and 30th, at Teatro Cidade Cenográfica, the second largest in
open sky of Brazil, at 8pm, with free entry.

“We will have exciting news this year. We will further highlight the role of women in the narrative, valuing characters such as Herodias, Mary and Magdalene”,
comments the director and producer of the show, César Crispim, giving spoilers
of some changes.

“One of the most moving scenes will be the inclusion of the moment in which Magdalene announces the resurrection of Christ, transmitting a message of hope and renewal, which will resonate in the hearts of everyone present. Additionally, Salomé's dance will be reinvented with circus elements, including stilts and pyrophagy performances, bringing renewed energy. We want to offer a
theatrical experience that is, at the same time, traditional and innovative,
keeping alive the timeless message of the Passion of Christ.”

In the cast, names known to the general public, such as actress Ana Lúcia
Torre, who will play Maria, Thiago Rodrigues, who will play Jesus,
Totia Meireles, Herodias, Sérgio Marone, for the second time, in the role of
Pilate and Zezeh Barbosa will bring Madalena to life.
