5 Important Figures in Drakor Parasyte: The Gray Airing April 5 2024, Brings a New Story, Different from the Original Comic

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Netflix's original Korean drama which started airing earlier this month, Parasyte: The Grey, not only has it attracted the attention of Ginseng Country cinema fans. But also a fan of Japanese pop culture.

The reason is, this drama, which will start broadcasting on April 5 2024, is based on the popular manga Kiseiju or Parasyte, by Hitoshi Iwaaki, published by Kodansha. The original comic has sold more than 25 million copies in 30 territories and has been adapted from animation to live action.

However, the story in this drama will be different from the original comic. Likewise with the characters displayed in Parasyte: The Greyare new characters.

“My previous works were all based on my own original screenplays, but this time Parasyte: The Grey is based on – and is an expansion – of an existing original work and its universe,” said the director of this drama, Yeon Sang Ho, as reported by a written statement from Netflix.

But of course Parasyte: The Grey still adheres to the original story, namely the presence of a parasitic creature that takes control of the human brain. In this drama, they unite and gather strength, and Team Gray is formed to face them.
