Ahead of Persik vs Barito, Rahmad Darmawan reminds players to suppress their emotions

Kediri, Beritasatu.com – PS Barito Putera coach, Rahmad Darmawan asked his players to suppress excessive emotions when facing Persik Kediri at the Brawijaya Stadium, Wednesday (28/2/2024). Rahmad Darmawan, who is familiarly called Coach RD, reminded that excessive motivation can trigger uncontrolled emotions and often result in blunders or losses for the team itself.

“Because of emotions, in several matches we always get bad results,” said Coach RD in a press conference before the match, Tuesday (27/2/2024).

RD said that the coaching team always reminded the players to stay focused so as not to be provoked by excessive emotions. According to him, excessive emotions can cause players to lose concentration.

Coach RD realized that the match against Persik Kediri was very important for PS Barito Putera. He hopes his players can control excessive emotions against the team nicknamed the White Tigers.

“That has often happened. This time, the match against Persik was handled well by all the players,” he explained.

Meanwhile, PS Barito Putera's player representative, Muhamad Firly, stated his readiness to face hosts Persik Kediri. Together with his colleagues, he is committed to carrying out the coach's instructions and achieving victory.

“We will play optimally and give the best for our team,” he concluded.

Persik Kediri is currently ranked sixth with 37 points in the League 1 standings heading into week 26. Meanwhile PS Barito Putera is in seventh place with a collection of 34 points.
