AJC 2023: Indonesian Women’s Doubles Show Convincing

Women’s doubles Anisanaya Kamila/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani advanced to the round of 16 of the 2023 BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC) tournament after defeating the Singaporean pair, Zheng Hong Li and Zheng Yan Li 21-4, 21-17. The Indonesian women’s doubles players appeared convincing today.

In the first round of the Badminton Asia Junior Championships 2023 which took place at the Amongraga Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, on Thursday (13/7/2023), the Anisanaya/Zahra pair, who are often called Naya and Ara, returned to adapting to court conditions.

Previously, participating in the 2023 Badminton Asia Junior Championships team number, Naya and Ara felt several changes, including wind conditions in the arena.

“We tried to play more freely in this match. We had difficulty adapting in the second game so we made many unforced errors,” said Ara.

With this result, Anisanaya Kamila/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani advanced to the next round and will face the winner between Maya Taguchi/Aya Tamaki (Japan) and Kim Do Yeon/Kwak Seung Min (South Korea).

Ahead of the next match, Anisanaya Kamila/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani said they would prepare better and try to reduce unnecessary mistakes.

“We try to minimize our own mistakes. I try to adapt quickly on the field,” added Naya.

The success of Anisanaya Kamila/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani was also joined by the couple Ariella Naqiyyah/Rachel Agnesia Sabatini, and Nabila Cahya Permata Ayu/Reva Olivia Damayani.
