AJC 2023: Mutiara’s Victory Not Followed by Chiara and Thalita

Women’s singles player Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari advanced to the round of 16 of the 2023 BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC) tournament after defeating China’s women’s singles, Pan Hao Yu.

In the first round of the Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC) 2023 tournament, Mutiara won 21-18, 21-16 at the Amongraga Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, on Thursday (13/7/2023).

Despite winning the first match of the 2023 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC), Mutiara admits that she is not satisfied with her game because she often makes unforced errors.

However, thanks to his good anticipation, the badminton player from Ngawi (East Java) managed to win within 35 minutes against the representative from the Bamboo Curtain country.

“I felt dissatisfied with my game today because I often made mistakes myself. My focus decreased so that I lost momentum. However, in the end I played more patiently and returned to showing my best game,” said Mutiara.

Pearl will fight the women’s singles from South Korea, Kim Min Sun, in the next round. In the previous match, Kim Min Sun defeated Wang Yu Si from Chinese Taipei with a score of 21-17, 21-12.

Facing a tough opponent in the next round, Mutiara tried to reduce unnecessary mistakes. In addition, he also tries to motivate himself to be more enthusiastic about playing.

“If you look at the track record of meetings with my two opponents, the results are not so good. I lost the last meeting with both of them. When I face tomorrow’s match, I have to increase my determination to play,” added Mutiara.
