Ancelotti’s future in Madrid depends on the Brazilian national team

– President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez does not want to fire coach Carlo Ancelotti despite failing in the Champions League this season. Madrid were eliminated in the semifinals after losing 1-5 on aggregate to Manchester City.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sportthe Italian coach’s future at the Bernabeu also hinges on his move to Brazil.

As is well known, Madrid’s failure in the Champions League has raised doubts about Carletto’s future in the Spanish capital. Both Ancelotti and Perez have confirmed they are not planning to part company a year before their partnership ends in June 2024.

However, Brazil remains interested in the experienced coach. CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues has been outspoken that Ancelotti is the leading candidate to replace Tite, who was sacked after the World Cup in Qatar.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, The Brazilian FA must make official moves to hire the former Milan and Juventus coach. At that point, Florentino’s public claims in favor of his coach must be followed by concrete action.

The report claims that Florentino has been voicing a possible replacement for Ancelotti over the last few months.

Even Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno recently refused to answer questions about Ancelotti’s future. This shows that Ancelotti’s future at Madrid is more in doubt than some would like to suggest Los Merengues in public.
