Although Verstappen faced early difficulties and even lost the lead to teammate Perez, he quickly recovered and took the lead at the front, pulling away from his rivals to reach the finish line first.

In addition, Charles Leclerc, a teammate of Sainz, was penalized in the Sprint race for obstructing McLaren’s Oscar Piastri during qualifying or shootout.
