This is what must be renovated so that JIS can be used for the U-17 World Cup
– The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) has indeed been proposed to be one of the venues for the U-17 World Cup matches which will be held in November-December 2023. However, in order for the stadium in north Jakarta to be usable, several facilities must be repaired.

According to Syahrial, Jakpro is ready to improve JIS facilities so that it can be used for the world-level age group football championship, including the main problem for JIS, namely access to stadiums and parking spaces for spectators around JIS.
The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo also said that President Jokowi requested that the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) be renovated according to standards before later being used as an alternative stadium for the U-17 World Cup.
“The President also wants JIS to be renovated according to standards,” said Menpora Dito Ariotedjo when met on the sidelines of the AMPI Golkar Anniversary event, at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jalan Anggrek Nelly Murni, Slipi, Jakarta, Wednesday (28/6/2023).

Jakpro stated that they are ready to improve JIS so that it complies with FIFA standards so that it can become the venue for the U-17 World Cup.
“Jakpro is ready to hold it (U-17 World Cup) at JIS. However, to move on to that, we are only at the initial coordination stage with the central government represented by the Menpora (Kemenpora), Pemprov DKI, PSSI and others to discuss what should be repaired and when it will start to match stadium standards for the U-17 World Cup,” he told Todaysgist.comSaturday (1/7/2023).
Syahrial admitted, Jakpro is open to improving stadium facility services for the comfort and safety of spectators at JIS.
