Inter Milan Gets Marcus Thuram for Free from Moenchengladbach

– Serie A club, Inter Milan, got Marcus Thuram on a free transfer or free of charge from the German team, Borusssia Moenchengladbach, Saturday (1/7/2023).

Marcus, son of 1998 World Cup winner with France, Lilian Thuram, has signed a five-year contract with Inter Milan. This contract is reportedly worth 6.5 million euros (equivalent to Rp. 106 billion) per season.

Previously, Marcus scored 13 goals with Borussia Moenchengladbach in the 2022/23 Bundesliga season, but he did not renew his contract with the club.

Inter Milan announced Marcus Thuram’s move on their official website. “Marcus Thuram has joined Inter,” wrote Inter on their official website quoted AFP on Saturday.

Marcus Thuram joins Inter Milan, after playing four seasons with Borussia Moenchengladbach.

He will play up front alongside Lautaro Martinez, replacing Edin Dzeko who moved to Fenerbahce. Marcus Thuram was born in Parma, where his father also played and achieved success in 1999.

At Inter Milan, Marcus may still have to compete with Romelu Lukaku for a place at starting line-up. The Belgian striker is trying to survive even though his loan spell from Chelsea is over.

Thuram junior also defended France, which qualified for the 2022 World Cup final before being defeated by Argentina in the final.
