– Women’s singles player Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari showed a heroic struggle when advancing to the semifinals of the 2023 BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC). The women’s singles born in Ngawi (East Java), May 17 2006 advanced to the top four after overcoming the resistance of China’s representative, Huang Lin Ran with a score of 17-21, 21-19, 21-19.

In the match that was held at the Amongraga Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, Friday (14/7/2023) evening, Mutiara admitted that she was tense at the end of the third game. Understandably when it entered the points game, the opponent had approached 19-20.

Facing the top four, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari wanted to focus more on controlling her emotions and keeping her mind from losing concentration.

“Entering the semifinals now is no longer talking about how to play. Now is the time to control your emotions and keep your mind under control,” Mutiara concluded.
