Becoming Persib Captain, Teja Paku Alam Is Increasingly Motivated

– Goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam is believed to be the captain of Persib in the opening two matches of the 2023/2024 League 1 season. The captain’s armband was wrapped around Teja’s left arm when Persib faced Madura United (2 July 2023) and Arema FC (7 July 2023).

Last season, six players were entrusted with the captain’s armband. They are Achmad Jufriyanto, Victor Igbonefo, Dedi Kusnandar, Marc Klok, I Made Wirawan and Rachmat Orianto.

Now, it is Teja’s turn to gain the trust of Coach Luis Milla.

“It is an honor to be the captain of Persib,” said the goalkeeper from Painan, West Sumatra.

Apart from that, for Teja, being the captain of the Blue Prince team is an additional motivation to be able to contribute more.

“This is motivation for yourself as well as to help friends in communicating and thank God, the coach believes,” he said.

Currently, Teja and his teammates are continuing to finalize preparations ahead of the match against Dewa United, Friday (14/7/2023) at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA).

Teja along with three other goalkeepers namely Reky Rahayu, Fitrul Dwi Rustapa and Sheva Sanggasi trained under coach Luizinho Passos.
