Dakota Johnson made a bitter joke about the case of cannibalism involving actor Armie Hammer during Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance presented by IMDbPro on Thursday (19). The 50 Shades of Gray star said that Armie would have had the opportunity to “fuck” her if she had starred in the movie Call Me By Your Name while praising the film’s director, Luca Guadagnino , and stated that she was invited by him to join the roster.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t participate in Call Me By Your Name . Luca had asked me to do it, but our schedules clashed. Thank goodness though, because I would have been another woman that Armie Hammer would have tried to fuck,” she said.

According to Page Six, at first, Dakota received a few chuckles and guffaws for the prank, but after an awkward pause, he received applause. She then continued: “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?” she added, referring to Guadagnino’s latest project, Bones and All .

Hammer, 36, has remained in relative seclusion since being accused of rape by a woman named Effie and sexual misconduct by ex-girlfriends Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze.

Lorenze, 24, even told Page Six that Hammer had used a knife to carve the letter “A” near her vagina. “I kind of sat back and let it happen. I really didn’t know what to do or say. … As sad as it is, I wanted him to like me and feel that I was sad for what he wanted.”

Hammer vehemently denied any wrongdoing through statements by his attorney. “From day one, Mr. Hammer has stated that all of his interactions with his sexual partners were completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory,” the statement said.

Accusations against Armie Hammer

Complaints against Armie Hammer emerged in early 2021, when he was accused of sexual abuse also for screenshots of messages, in which he allegedly described his cannibal fetishes. One woman accused the actor of rape, which was investigated by the LAPD, while another claimed to have been tagged by him, who has always denied all allegations.

Hammer was married to actress and presenter Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he had a couple of children. They broke up in 2020. The actor’s career was all but over after the allegations – he was dropped from his agency and cut from a series of projects he had already been cast in. A few weeks ago, Hammer was photographed at a resort in the Cayman Islands, where he had a home when he was still living with his ex-wife. According to Vanity Fair magazine , the actor spent months in a rehabilitation clinic , which would have been paid for by Robert Downey Jr. , the Iron Man from the Marvel movies.
