R. Kelly found guilty of sex with minors – R. Kelly was found guilty by the jury of sex with minors and making child pornography. The singer was suspected of thirteen offenses in the American city of Chicago. He was found guilty of six of them.

The Chicago case follows fourteen years after an earlier trial against the singer in the state of Illinois. Even then, the R&B artist was accused of sexual misconduct towards underage women, but he was eventually acquitted.

R. Kelly found guilty of sex with minors and making child porn

Chicago prosecutors now alleged that Kelly and two of his former employees attempted to manipulate the outcome of the case by bribing witnesses and victims. The 55-year-old singer and his employees have been acquitted of these charges.

Kelly has been accused of (child) abuse since the 1990s. He has always said he is innocent. The singer has been incarcerated since 2019 and was already found guilty in New York at the end of June of, among other things, leading an organization whose purpose was to abuse women and girls. 

He was then sentenced to thirty years in prison.
