Drama Racer Fadillah Arbi Wins Moto3 Junior GP: Starting on Grid 16, Was Overtaken Before Finish

Catalonia, Beritasatu.com – History was made by a young racer from Purworejo Regency, Fadillah Arbi Aditama, who successfully climbed to the championship podium race 2 in the European FIM JuniorGP Barcelona Moto3 class last weekend. This achievement made Fadillah Arbi Aditama the first Indonesian racer to win the JuniorGP race.

The success of the Astra Honda Racing team racer was achieved dramatically. Fadillah Arbi had struggled since the qualifying qualifying session on Saturday (15/7/2023) by placing 16th. With these results, Fadillah Arbi start from 26th place in the first race and finished 18th.

Achieving unsatisfactory results Fadillah Arbi further motivated him to appear more aggressive in the second race.

Starting the race on grid 16, Fadillah Arbi made a good start. He managed to push into the position of the front group. Appearing calm and focused, Fadillah Arbi was able to maintain his position at the front. Drama ensued when Fadillah was overtaken by Spaniard David Almansa nearing the finish line.

Almansa was declared the winner. However, Fadillah got lucky after the organizers stated that Almansa had violated the track limit and had to lose one position.

With this, Fadillah was declared the winner of the FIM JuniorGP Moto3 class, which was also his first podium in Europe. Fadillah Arbi has the right to add 25 points and increase his position to 16th place with a total of 36 points in the standings.

This result is an important milestone for the Indonesian racing world because previously there had not been a national racer who was able to climb to the podium in the Junior GP race series.
