Duet Yuni and Kimberley Help the Indonesian Women’s Basketball Team Topple the Philippines

The Indonesian women’s basketball team won their fourth victory at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia by defeating the Philippines 89-68 at Morodok Techo Stadium, Friday (12/5/2023).

In this match, two Indonesian players Yuni Anggraeni and Kimberley Pierre Louis became mainstays in scoring points, scoring 24 and 20 points respectively.

This result made the women’s basketball team top the standings by winning four times in a row.

In this match, the women’s basketball team was behind from the Philippines in the first half of the match. The Philippines led the first half of the match by a margin of nine points.

But at the end of the second quarter, Indonesia managed to equalize. The Indonesian basketball heroines then turned things around in the third quarter, and continued to maintain their lead until the fourth quarter with the highest difference of 21 points.

With this result, the Indonesian women’s team has only matches left against the hosts Cambodia and Singapore at the 2023 SEA Games.
