So the story goes, Meta is rumored to be launching a Twitter competitor application, which according to an internal document will be called Threads, although that name has not been announced officially.
From the screenshots Meta shared internally, this Twitter version of the Instagram app will focus on text. Similar to current IG, but without photos.
“We’ve heard from creators and public figures interested in owning one platforms sanely executed, trustworthy and dependable,” said Meta chief product officer, Chris Cox in meetings company.
Quoted from The VergesThursday (22/6/2023), Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, then mocked Meta and Zuckerberg’s plans through his Twitter account, in response to this statement.
“Zuck my ????,” wrote the CEO of Tesla through his official Twitter account.
Then, Elon Musk responded to Mario Nawfal’s Twitter account with the handle @MarioNawfal, which alluded to the WSJ’s investigation of child pornography circles on Instagram and Facebook.
Musk said the world would have no choice but to “come exclusively under Zuck’s thumb.”
Other netizens also started commenting on the thread, where one of the handles @kwmarkoff26656, asked Musk to be careful and said that Mark Zuckerberg is now good at jiu jitsu.
Well, Elon Musk also responded briefly, saying he was ready for cage matches: “I’m ready for the home game if he’s ready lol.”
