Failed to win the 2023 Korea Open, Fajar/Rian are still grateful

Yeosu, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian men’s doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto remain grateful for the achievement of becoming runner up Korea Open 2023. They failed to win the title after losing to the Indian pair Rankireddy / Shetty in the final round of the Korea Open 2023, 21-17, 13-21, 14-21, Sunday (23/7/2023).

“Alhamdulillah, I’m still grateful because the Korea Open 2023 match is over. Even though it hasn’t succeeded in presenting a title for Indonesia, especially PBSI,” said Fajar Alfian after the match.

Fajar acknowledged that the opponent played very well. While he and Rian made many mistakes of their own.

“The Indian pair’s style of play is speed And power with no lobs difficult,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rian said that in the first game, he was actually able to apply the strategy well. “Unfortunately when we were far ahead, they started to find their game form. Then slowly caught up to our points. Even though we were finally able to take the first game, only the opponent was more confident in the second and third games,” said Rian.

Both Fajar and Rian admit that their game is now much better compared to previous tournaments, although there is still much to evaluate.

After this, Fajar/Rian will focus on facing the next tournament, the Japan Open.

“After this we will appear at the Japan Open. There is not much rest time so we have to make the most of it. Hopefully we can do more all out and more consistent,” added Fajar.
