Family Reasons, Aidil Sharin Resigns as Persikabo Coach

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Aidil Sharin Sahak announced his retirement from the position of head coach of Persikabo 1973 after the Indonesian League 1 competition had been running for four weeks.

Based on the club’s official statement on Monday (24/7/2023), Aidil’s decision to step down was due to his desire not to be divided between his focus on dealing with Persikabo 1973 and dealing with his family’s problems.

According to Nandang Permana, Persikabo 1973 Media Officer, the strong reason behind Aidil’s resignation as Laskar Pajajaran coach was because one of Aidil’s parents was undergoing intensive treatment at a hospital in Singapore.

“Coach Aidil decided to resign due to family reasons. Currently, one of his parents is undergoing intensive care at a hospital in Singapore,” said Nandang.

“His intention was not to lose focus, and as a boy, of course he wanted to be able to take care of his parents when they were sick. That is the reason he has conveyed to me,” he added.

Aidil’s resignation from squad Persikabo 1973 is of course shocking news, especially after Jose Varela and the team won their first win this season by beating Bhayangkara FC with a score of 3-1.

In the previous three matches, Persikabo 1973 had to swallow two defeats against Rans Nusantara FC and PSM Makassar, and drew against Persija Jakarta.

Aidil, who is 46 years old, joined Persikabo 1973 midway through the 2022/23 season to fill the position previously held by Djadjang Nurdjaman.

Aidil is the third coach to resign from the 2023/24 Indonesian League 1 competition after Luis Milla from Persib Bandung and I Putu Gede from Arema FC.
