Padre Marcos City Hall, through the Municipal Sports Secretariat, released the official schedule for the traditional Holy Week Tournament in the town of Casa Nova.

The Tournament has been held for 37 years and is held annually, organized by sportsmen João Norberto and Antônio Tiago, with the support of the City Hall, through the Municipal Sports Department, with the aim of encouraging local sport and keeping cultural traditions alive in the municipality.

This year, the Intermunicipal Tournament will take place on Hallelujah Saturday, March 30th. The program lasts throughout the day and involves an Amateur Football Tournament and a party.

The Tournament starts in the morning, at 8 am, with the participation of eight teams. In addition to the host team, from Casa Nova, the competition will also be contested by teams from Vila Nova, Alegrete, Campo Grande do Piauí, Padre Marcos, Belém do Piauí (Villa Real) and Marcolândia.

At night, after the Tournament, Padre Marcos City Hall hosts a party in a public square with shows by DJ Junior and singer Robson Farra.

The sporting and festive event is a tradition and annually moves the community, attracting the local population and visitors.
