During the rainy season, which runs from December to June, Piauí transforms into a true “Paradise of waterfalls”. From North to South of the state, these natural spectacles provide not only refreshment for the body, but also relief for the mind, helping to escape the routine. Therefore, Meionorte.com has selected some waterfalls in Piauí for those who enjoy a good adventure.

🏞️ COVÃO WATERFALL: Located in Castelo do Piauí, 189.7 km from Teresina, the tourist attraction has a type of staircase with waterfalls that range from 12 to 15 meters in height. This waterfall also has a swing on a tree that is almost in the middle of the waterfall. Despite being located in Castelo, access is via Juazeiro do Piauí. Entry is free, but you must speak to the property owner.

🏞️ SAQUAREMA WATERFALL: Not very well known, the Saquarema waterfall is in Capitão de Campos, but can be accessed through Cocal de Telha, a neighboring town, 141 km from the capital. The place is a true paradise with clear waters that stand out against the dark rock formation and plants around. An important detail is that there is only water during the rainy season. Access, despite being difficult, is worth it given the spectacle.

🏞️ SANTO ANTÔNIO WATERFALL: This is for those who appreciate new experiences! 157 km away in São Felix do Piauí, it is divided into other attractions, such as the Mato Grande waterfall, which can also be your refuge, and a beautiful viewpoint. The main attraction is the main waterfall, 32 meters high. To enjoy it and bathe in the stream below, you need to climb down ropes. Like many waterfalls in the region, it only has water during the rainy season. Entry is free and access difficulty is medium.

Like the others, it is only possible to visit during the rainy season. Although access is easy, the waterfall is on private property and requires authorization to visit.
