Inter Milan Gives Up Permanently Lukaku
– Inter Milan has reportedly given up on being able to get Romelu Lukaku back. The Italian giants are no longer interested in signing the Belgium international on a permanent basis.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Inter from Chelsea. He played in 37 matches in all competitions, scored 14 goals and provided seven assists for Inter Milan.
A number of talks have been held between Inter Milan and Chelsea. Inter Milan last made an offer of £26 million which was rejected by Mauricio Pochettino’s team. This amount seems far from Chelsea’s desire of £ 40 million requested.
However, according to Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Inter have decided to walk away from negotiations, with a potential deal for the centre-forward now not happening.
Romano claims that last season’s Champions League finalist was furious after learning that Lukaku had been in talks to move to Juventus.
The Old Lady are said to be seeking to bring him to Turin this summer, although a deal would only be done if Dusan Vlahovic leaves. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have also been linked with the 23-year-old player.
Lukaku is also believed to have options in the Saudi Pro League, with a number of clubs interested in him.
