Joining Al Nassr, Alex Telles Still Proud to Have Joined Manchester United Even though He Rarely Played

Manchester United have successfully increased their budget to spend on players in the 2023 summer transfer market. They received an injection of funds following the sale of Alex Telles.

The Red Devils have found a buyer for the Brazilian defender. They will release Telles to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. There he joined another former MU star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Telles has not been part of the MU manager’s plans for a long time. Starting from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, until now Erik ten hag. Last season he was loaned to Sevilla because the Red Devils already had Luke Shaw and had just bought Tyrell Malacia.

Manchester United tied Telles with a contract until 2024 plus the option of a year’s extension. Because of the agreement, they asked for money to be transferred to Al Nassr. However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the nominal has not been agreed. Telles himself is reported to have accepted Al Nassr’s proposal which offered a work bond until 2026.

MU brought in Telles from FC Porto after depositing £15 million in 2020. They were attracted to Telles’ performance, which made 131 appearances and scored 29 goals and 40 assists.

However, Alex Telles is difficult to start at Old Trafford. While in uniform with the Red Devils, he only played 50 times and contributed one goal.
