Lavani Challenged by Garuda Jaya in First Match

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Defending men's champion Jakarta Lavani Allo Bank was challenged by newcomer Jakarta Garuda Jaya in the first match of the 2024 Proliga volleyball competition. The 2024 Proliga schedule will start at GOR Amongrogo, Yogyakarta, on April 25.

Proliga 2024, the highest caste volleyball competition in Indonesia, will take place from April 25 to July 21 in nine major cities in the country.

Jakarta Garuda Jaya is a new team that will enliven the Proliga competition season which has entered its 22nd year.

With the participation of the Garuda Jaya team, seven teams will participate in the Proliga. Apart from Lavani and Garuda Jaya, there are five other teams, namely Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Jakarta BIN, Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax, Palembang Bank SumselBabel, and Kudus Sukun Badak.

In the women's section, there are also seven teams, namely defending champion Bandung BJB Tandamata, Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia, Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, Jakarta BIN, Jakarta Elektrik PLN, and newcomer Jakarta Livin Mandiri.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of Proliga, Reginald Nelwan, said that his party had sent the Proliga schedule to all participants.

“All participants have received the match schedule,” he said, Tuesday (5/3/2024).
