A Number of Figures Attend Halalbihalal Retired TNI-Polri Officers at JEC Yogyakarta

– Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Retired Indonesian Warriors (PPIR) who is also General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto attended the PPIR grand reunion and halal bihalal at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta, Wednesday (3/5/2023). On that occasion, Prabowo received PPIR support and was ready to be in a command to support Prabowo’s steps in the 2024 presidential election.

The event was attended by former Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security Wiranto, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani and a number of retired TNI-Polri officers such as Marshal TNI (Purn) Imam Sufaat, TNI General (Purn) Subagyo Hadi Siswoyo, Police Commissioner General (Purn) Mochamad Iriawan, as well as a number of other figures.

TNI General (Purn) Subagyo Hadi Siswoyo in front of tens of thousands of former TNI-Polri soldiers who are members of the PPIR explained that his presence at the event was not just a reunion and friendly gathering, but to provide support to Prabowo Subianto as President in the upcoming 2024 Election.

“It’s really a happy reunion or halal bihalal today, that Pak Prabowo is extraordinary. There is no other way, tomorrow Pak Prabowo will become president. Tomorrow Pak Prabowo will become president, we support, we help, what can we give. Our solidarity is number one,” said Subagyo HS who was the chief of staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD) for the 1998-1999 period.

On that occasion, TNI General (Purn) Wiranto reminded Prabowo Subianto’s message to retired TNI-Polri officers, that they are confident that they will continue to fight to create a better life for the Indonesian nation. According to Wiranto, soldiers must always be ready to fight untruths.

“Earlier, Prabowo said that at this time we must always fight against untruth, dishonesty. We as soldiers may retire, but as fighters we never retire until we enter the grave,” he added.

Moreover, said Wiranto, the future struggle of the Indonesian people will certainly not be easy in facing various challenges. Therefore, he said, this struggle must be carried out in totality and supported by the entire Indonesian nation.

He also invited all retired TNI-Polri officers to continue fighting and be enthusiastic in making the Indonesian nation a strong nation. The chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) also asked retired TNI-Polri officers not to think that the old were weak and to leave the struggle for the Indonesian nation to the young.

“Therefore, don’t let retired friends think that we are old, we are already sluggish, just leave it to the young ones, that’s not the case, friends. And now it’s proven that PPIR friends who are here are passionate and like tigers,” Wiranto concluded to the applause of tens of thousands of invited guests.
