PB ESI Launches Free Legal Consultation Program for Indonesian Esports Athletes

The Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI) recently launched the Thursday I'm in Law program, a legal consultation forum for esports athletes.

This program is present as a form of PB ESI's commitment to creating a conducive and professional esports ecosystem.

Thursday I'm in Law is present every Thursday, where athletes can visit the PB ESI Office to consult with the Law and Legality Division of PB ESI and K-CASE Lawyer as partners.

“We run this program based on the findings we get, both findings from social media and from esports athletes who contact us,” said Yudistira Adipratama, SH, LL.M., Head of Law and Legality at PB ESI, in his statement, Sunday ( 4/27/2024).

“The majority of the findings relate to issues regarding the rights of esports athletes that have not been fulfilled, one of which is salary,” he said.

Yudistira is optimistic that this program can help esports athletes get maximum rights, including appropriate salaries.

Interestingly, the identities of athletes who are consulted are guaranteed to be kept confidential, so they don't need to worry about legal issues having a negative impact on their professional careers.
