Lil Kleine performs again in the Netherlands, festival that booked him under fire

Lil Kleine will perform in the Netherlands for the first time on Saturday since he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Jaimie Vaes. Tiktak Festival in Rotterdam has booked the rapper, but reactions show that many visitors do not support this.By our entertainment editors

The festival organization will announce the performance via Instagram. “After a spectacular show in 2019, Lil Kleine will be present again this year.”

In the reactions it becomes clear that at least some of the visitors think it is too early for a comeback. For example, someone on Instagram points out that the case against Lil Kleine is still ongoing and that the organization should wait and see.

Others say they are selling their tickets now that the rapper is booked. They say they are angry because the organization offers a stage to a woman abuser. Hundreds of tickets are currently offered for sale on the second-hand ticket platform TicketSwap.

Lil Kleine performs again in the Netherlands

Lil Kleine has only performed sporadically abroad in recent times. The rapper withdrew after a video leaked in February in which he could see the head of his now ex-fiancée Vaes between a car door. He was arrested and Vaes later filed a report against him.

Shortly after he was released, the rapper left temporarily to Thailand. In a video on Instagram, he said he was looking for “professional help”. The rapper is currently awaiting his trial in freedom.

The organization of Tiktak Festival was not available for comment on Wednesday evening.
