Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Discusses Sports Cooperation with Al-Nassr Club

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Minister of Youth and Sports Menpora Dito Ariotedjo discussed sports cooperation with the Saudi Arabian football club, Al-Nassr.

This visit to the Al-Nassr Sports Club is one of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' follow-up regarding the cooperation that was communicated in October 2023, which was carried out in the presence of President Joko Widodo and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud.

“We discussed potential collaborations such as holding friendly matches in Indonesia. Data shows that the number of Al-Nassr supporters in Indonesia is quite significant,” said Minister of Youth and Sports Dito, Wednesday (1/5/2024).

During his visit, Menpora Dito was welcomed by the CEO of Al-Nassr Club Co, Guido Fienga, who stated that Al-Nassr Sports Club will now also focus on Olympic sports, one of which is badminton.

Guido Fienga hopes to get help to develop badminton sports achievements from Indonesia which have brilliant achievements.

“Mr. Fienga also said that the Al-Nassr Sports Club is also focused on Olympic sports, one of which is badminton. He hopes that he can be helped to develop their badminton sports achievements. Because he understands that Indonesia's badminton sports achievements are very brilliant,” said the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Dito explained. During the visit, they discussed the potential of young players in Indonesian football who have so much talent.

It is hoped that Al-Nassr will not close down the opportunity to send talent scouts who can explore potential players from Indonesia to take part in the club currently being defended by Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I told Mr Fienga that Indonesia has many talented young footballers. The achievements of our U-23 national team are proof of that,” he added.
