National Volleyball Training Center: Shella Called Again, Yolla Yuliana Out

The Central Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) summoned 21 players for the National Volleyball Training Center. Interestingly, Shella Bernadetha was again summoned, while Yolla Yuliana out.

The volleyball training is in preparation for the 2023 ASEAN Grand Prix for Women Volleyball Invitation which will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam and Chiangmai, Thailand in August.

Shella was last called up by Pelatnas volleyball at the 2021 SEA Games with Yolla Yuliana. The two of them were not called up at the 2023 SEA Games. However, Yolla Yuliana last month appeared to defend Indonesia at the AVC Challenge Cup in Gresik.

The players called Pelatnas Volleyball will take part in the National Training Center (Pelatnas) starting July 6, 2023 at GOR PBV BJB Tandamata, Bandung.

The team that will represent the national team in Vietnam and Thailand, is Bandung BJB Tandamata, as revealed by the PP PBVSI Deputy for Achievement Development, Loudry Maspaitella.

“Bank BJB won the women’s title in the previous 2023 Proliga. Therefore, they were chosen to represent Indonesia in the event,” said Loudry Maspaitella.

Of the 21 players called up, only 14 players will be brought in later. “Selected the best and most ready to appear,” he said.

Most of the 21 players who were prepared to face the championship, which is also known as SEAVA, are indeed occupied by Bandung BJB Tandatamata players.
