Netflix will stop providing data on the number of users starting in 2025, here's the reason

Even though it has been launched for a long time, the Apple Vision Pro apparently does not yet support a number of popular applications, one of which is Netflix.

Quoting information from GSM ArenaSunday (28/1/2024), in an interview with Stratechery, Netflix CO-CEO Greg Peters also revealed the reason why the Netflix application is not yet available on the headset.

In the interview, Greg said that Netflix had not launched the application on Vision Pro because it was deemed not commensurate with the company's efforts.

What this means, according to Greg, is that the number of potential customers who have Vision Pro is not enough, compared to the company's efforts to port the Netflix application to this platform.

Therefore, for now, they have chosen not to be present on the headset platform.

However, that doesn't mean Netflix won't release their application for the headset. Greg said, for now, the company prefers to wait for developments on the Apple Vision Pro first.

Apart from Netflix, other popular applications that will not be present on Visio Pro when the headset is released to consumers are Spotify and YouTube.

The two apps reportedly have no plans to develop apps specifically for visionOS, the operating system on the Apple Vision Pro.

However, this does not mean that the services of these two applications cannot be accessed on Vision Pro. Users can still access it via the website, but the experience provided may be different.
