Persib Coach Calls Dewa United Can Make a Surprise in League 1 This Season

– Persib Bandung coach, Luis Milla, reminded his team not to underestimate the power of Dewa United when the two competed in the third week of the 2023/24 Indonesia League 1 at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, Friday (14/7/2023).

According to Milla, Dewa United has undergone changes from the previous season, so Marc Klok and his colleagues need to pay serious attention. Milla stated that Dewa United has players with high abilities and have the potential to create surprises in the league this season.

“Dewa United has players with high-level abilities. In my opinion, they can create a surprise in League 1 this season,” said the Spanish coach.

Milla’s concern was natural because Dewa United had won two wins in the previous two matches, beating Arema FC with a score of 1-0 and PSM Makassar, the defending champions of League 1, with a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Persib Bandung has not won in its last two matches, drawing 1-1 against Madura United and drawing 3-3 against Arema FC.

This situation became the motivation for Persib Bandung to win their first victory in the Indonesian League 1 this season. Milla also expressed her appreciation for Dewa United as a very good team and had done many things well.

“I respect Dewa United as a very good team. They have also done a number of things very well,” said the coach who once handled the Indonesian national team.

Currently, Persib Bandung is in 10th place in the 2023/24 Indonesia League 1 standings with 2 points from two matches. Maung Bandung is four points away from Dewa United who is in second place.
